# Manage Useful Links

School staff can create and manage a list of useful links for parents, helping them quickly access important resources.

## Accessing Link Management

1. Open the side menu.
2. Tap **Manage Links** (only visible to authorized staff).

## Adding a Link

1. Tap the **+** (plus) button in the bottom right corner.
2. **Label**: Enter a short, descriptive name for the button (e.g., "Canteen Menu").
3. **URL**: Enter the web address (e.g., `www.myschool.com/canteen`).
4. **Category**: Select a category to assign an icon and colour to the button (e.g., Food, Uniform, Sports).
5. Tap **Save**.

## Managing Existing Links

- **Edit**: Tap the pencil icon  next to a link to change its details.
- **Delete**: Tap the trash icon  to remove a link.
- **Reorder**: Press and hold the drag handle  on the right side of a link, then drag it to a new position in the list. The new order is saved automatically.

## Available Categories

Categorizing your links helps parents find what they need visually.

- **Admin**: Blue
- **Educational**: Indigo
- **Food**: Orange
- **Parent Portal**: Cyan
- **Resources**: Teal
- **Safety**: Red
- **Sports**: Green
- **Stationery**: Yellow
- **Uniform**: Purple
- **Other**: Grey
